Grammy-winning Harry Styles and actress Taylor Russell have reportedly split just after 14 months of dating. Earlier this month a source claimed that the former One Direction star and Russell were getting fairly serious, so the split comes as a massive surprise to internet fans who shipped the couple together.

Romance rumors initially began circulating when the pair were spotted in June 2023. They were then consequently linked again in Vienna, Austria as Russell was seen dancing in the VIP section of Styles’s show. The next day, the pair were spotted by a fan exploring Vienna together and seemed relatively close. August is when the uncertainty around the pair was put to bed once the ‘As It Was’ singer attended Russell's opening gala for the play ‘The Effect’ which was performed at the National Theatre in London.

The couple remained extremely tight-lipped, with sources defending the pair by clarifying they both lead ‘private lives’ which clarified why there wasn't much public PDA with the pair. Russell gave an interview with Face Magazine and expressed ‘ I’m somebody who, annoyingly, complicatedly, needs things to be asked and pulled from me to talk about it - But even then, I’m like, ​’ I’m sorry, is this too much? Is this too much? So I need a partner who is going to do that, or else it’s never going to work.’

The couple were spotted several more times throughout their short-winded romance, publicly taking strolls around London and Las Vegas. The pair recently jetted off to Japan, in hopes of repairing their relationship alluding to the couple being in a make-or-break predicament. It seems that the trip ended in heartbreak, with the pair deciding to unexpectedly split confusing the pair’s fanbases. A fan by the name of @alarrielife wrote “Wow this is so shocking. Nobody saw it coming. Omg love isn’t real. I’m crying in a corner.”
